Who This Expedition Is For
A preliminary participant profile. Final requirements will be confirmed with the full program.
- Experience: several seasons of ski touring or splitboarding in the backcountry. You should be confident skinning, making kick turns and skiing or riding off-piste in variable snow, including crust and wind-affected snow.
- Fitness: comfortable with 1,000–1,500 m of ascent and six to eight hours on the move.
- Avalanche equipment: your own transceiver, shovel and probe, and practical knowledge of how to use them.
- Remoteness: basic accommodation, limited communication, and help that may be many hours away. You should be at ease with this.
- Flexibility: weather, snow and access decide the plan. There may be days of waiting, routes may change, and the group may turn back. If a fixed itinerary matters to you, this is not the right trip.
