AMNIMAKEN is a personal project. I keep as little personal data as the work allows, I do not sell it, and I do not send anything you have not asked for. This page explains what I collect, why, and what you can ask me to do with it.
Who is responsible
Oleg Gritskevich, founder of AMNIMAKEN, Georgia, Dusheti region, Kaishaurebi, Vartsla mountain. Commercial space # 7, 1st floor. Email: info@amnimaken.com. I am the data controller for everything described here. There is no data protection officer; write to me directly.
What I collect and why
When you write to me or fill in a form. Your name, email, phone or messenger handle, the dates and plans you describe, and anything else you choose to tell me. I use it to answer you and, if we go ahead, to organise the journey, retreat or cabin stay. The basis is the steps taken at your request before an agreement, and afterwards the agreement itself.
When you ask to join a Ride Together day. In addition to contact details: your skiing or splitboarding equipment, avalanche training, the daily ascent you are comfortable with, and your backcountry experience. I need this to judge whether a day together is safe and sensible. Ride Together is not a guided service, and I may decline. The basis is your consent, together with my legitimate interest in the safety of everyone in the group.
Health information for retreats. Tsa Lung involves breath retention and physical movement. For some programs I ask whether you have high or low blood pressure, epilepsy, glaucoma, a recent operation, or another condition that could make a practice unsuitable. This is special category data under Article 9 of the GDPR. I collect it only with your explicit consent, only for the program you are joining, and I use it for nothing else. If you prefer not to write it down, tell me and we can discuss it by voice instead.
Emergency contact. For programs in the mountains I ask for the name and phone number of someone to contact in an emergency. Please tell that person you have given me their details.
When you vote on a future expedition. Your email and the destination you chose, used to count votes, tell you the result, and share the dates when they are set.
When you subscribe to updates. Your email, used to send the updates you subscribe to. The WordPress.com subscription forms on this site subscribe you to new AMNIMAKEN posts, rather than to a single program. You can unsubscribe through the link in those emails.
Technical data. My hosting provider records IP addresses and browser information in standard server logs to keep the site running and secure. Jetpack Stats also provides information about visits and pages viewed.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not lead anywhere: up to 24 months after our last message. Booking and payment records: 6 years, as accounting rules require. Ride Together information: until the end of the following season. Health information: deleted within 30 days of the program ending, or immediately if you ask. Subscription and voting emails: until you unsubscribe or the vote is decided.
Who else sees it
Only the services that make the site and my work run: my website host, my email provider, the form plugin and the mailing tool. Where a program is run together with a partner, such as a surf or freediving school or a retreat centre, I share only what they need to receive you, and never your health information without telling you first. I do not sell or rent data to anyone.
The services currently used are WordPress.com and Automattic for hosting, Jetpack Forms, Jetpack subscriptions, Jetpack Stats and Akismet spam protection; Fluent Forms by WPManageNinja for the expedition vote; SendLayer through WP Mail SMTP for outgoing website email; and Gmail by Google for direct email correspondence. Fluent Forms runs on this WordPress site and stores form submissions in the site database.
Where your data is held
I am based in Georgia, and some of the services I use are in the European Union and the United States. If you are in the EEA or the UK, this means your data may be handled outside it. Where that happens I rely on your consent and on the necessity of the transfer to arrange what you asked for, and I use providers with standard contractual clauses in place.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of what I hold, ask me to correct it, delete it, limit how I use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to a particular use. Where I rely on consent, including health information, Ride Together, voting and updates, you can withdraw it at any time, which does not affect what was done before. Write to info@amnimaken.com and I will reply within 30 days.
If you are in the EEA or the UK and you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to your national supervisory authority. For personal data protection enquiries in Georgia, see the personal data protection authority’s website.
Cookies
This site uses WordPress.com and Jetpack services to display pages, keep forms working and protect the site from spam. I use Jetpack Stats to see how many people visit and which pages they read. Google Analytics is not enabled in the site settings. For details of cookies used by these services, see Automattic’s Cookie Policy.
Some pages embed video and Instagram content. Those services may set their own cookies when the content loads.
Children
AMNIMAKEN programs are for adults. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Participants under 18 join only with a parent or guardian, who fills in the forms.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting people I am already in touch with will be sent by email.
